This place rocks! My wife and I went for lunch and had beef and veggie samosas, which were so good. I had the chicken madras and my wife ordered the ginger chicken. The portions were big, chock full of chicken, and the flavors were incredible. You can tell they use fresh herbs and lots of seasoning. We also had mango lassis that we're delicious and a dessert with cheese in a pistachio cream sauce, I can't remember what it was called. The waiter was very personable and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This place is definitely the only place we will go for Indian food in the area.

My first experience with Indian food and it was awesome! Went with a friend and my boyfriend. My friend has eaten Indian before and we were hungry so she suggested Indian! Our waiter was Shaun/Shawn/Sean. He was very nice and helpful when it came to what we wanted. So we ordered: mango lassi, chicken samosas, vegetable samosas, garlic naan, papadum, nehari, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, and some kind of dessert with cheese. Everything was delicious!!! Out of everything though, the garlic naan was my favorite. I can see myself eating that nonstop. My friend and boyfriend were also equally impressed and satisfied. We will definitely be coming here again!

Closed. The site says open but that's not true. I showed up, took a photo of the shuttered suite, and then called the number on the door. "We are closed for the day," was their first explanation, but after further inquiry they admitted "we are on vacation and looking for a new location." Best of luck.

I have lived for 8 years in US and I can tell the tandoori chicken I had here is the worst I ever had :( samosa was bad too. In my opinion, if an indian restaurant sucks at tandoori chicken or chicken tikka masala ....it's high time they get their act together. Place is great! Crew is friendly!! just that chef needs to do some home work.

Papadums were not good, and you had pay extra for the dips for the papadums. I eat at a lot of Indian restaurants and I have never seen that. Medium spicyness was bland tasted like mild. The service was not good kept having to stand up and find out waiter and ask for water and the check. The waiter was sitting and talking with his friends which would be fine if you have free time but how can you wait three or four tables and hang out with your friends. Lastly the food was only ok and the Kasmari naan supposed to have fruit and nuts had almost no fruit and very little nuts. Wouldn't recommend. Also got sick the next day. Yuck!

New favorite Indian restaurant! I went this evening, the atmosphere was good and the food was excellent. I wanted a veggie masala, but one wasn't on the menu. The waiter said they would make it anyway - it turned out exactly as I wanted it. Also had Garlic Naan and Chicken Samosas. My boyfriend tried the chicken tikka masala. Everything was delicious and the service was on point. Highly recommend giving it a try.

At the back of a run down shopping center is this Indian Restaurant that has really good food! The menu is filled with all the stand by items yet our dishes were more tasty and delicate than we have experienced. The baingan bharta (eggplant) was prepared without tomato sauce (or very little) and the deep flavor of the tandoori smoked eggplant and spices was excellent. The lamb rogan josh had that same familiar yet more delicate flavorful taste. We both made "clean plate". Papadoms are usually complimentary but there was a $2.00 charge. They were very large and obviously freshly made and came with a thin, remarkably tasty, tamarind chutney. The cucumber raita was also touched with spice. They don't have alcohol so we had a pot of Pakastani tea..I peeked into the pot and found all sorts of fresh herbs and spices..no teabag here. Our waiter Faison, was very nice and had a nice sense of humor. It took a while for our food to come out and in this case, worth it because it was obviously freshly prepared. Yay! We have a new go to Indian restaurant. If they had beer and wine, I would give it 5 stars.

I find it very hard to find a good Indian restaurant in the area. This place had great food and prices were very reasonable. The garlic naan was crispy and we'll done. The chicken tiki Masala was very good. Meat was soft and the sauce had a nice creamy texture to it. The restaurant decor is very old and the shopping center is dingy but don't let that deter you.

Found this place based on Yelp reviews while visiting Miami. Great food and nice service. While the decor is basic / simple, it is the food that makes the place great. It is authentic and not watered down / sweetened for the western palate. Thus, if you want to taste great authentic tasting South Indian / Pakistani food, head over to this place. And for those who are searching for Halal food, this place serves it. Lastly, if you use a GPS, please note that this restaurant is in a shopping center. It is all the way back behind KFC.

Low key family joint. We had the lentils, balti lamb, chicken tikka masala, the garlic naan, and the homemade mango ice cream. Everything was flavorful and we had no complaints.

Amazing! I found Miami Tandoor online and read the reviews before going--all of my expectations were exceeded! I convinced my mother and her friends to go here on a Friday night to try it out. We were greeted by Zeeshaun who was full of warmth and positive energy. He took care of us throughout our meal with some greetings from the other family members including his younger brother Rejahn. They were both very friendly and accommodating, very easy to warm up to from the start. We started with a few appetizers and he was constantly checking in on us throughout the meal to make sure we were happy :0). Everything could be made to order--I try not to alter meals when they are family recipes but he let us know from the start if we had any dietary restrictions they were more than happy to accommodate. I was able to get the meal I wanted vegan friendly, which made me very happy! i can't stress how wonderful the food and service were! Everyone at the table couldn't stop saying how delicious their meals were, which was such a relief since I had recommended trying the place. You should order anything Zeeshaun recommends--including the hot tea, and you won't be disappointed :0). We are bringing our whole family back and are so happy to have finally found a good Indian restaurant close to home--we were going all the way up to a restaurant in Coral Springs to get our Indian fix before we discovered Miami Tandoor. Go here. Be happy. Get fed. Such good energy and a wonderful experience! Can't wait to go back!

A wonderful Indian food experience!

Chicken tikka masala was tasty and the garlic naan was on point. Order it with the cucumber raita to balance it out. Didn't care for the chicken biryani tho. Ordered one dish medium and the other mild, neither was spicy at all in my opinion. I'd def come back here and try the tikka masala spicy.

What a wonderful experience! The facility might not look much from the outside, mostly because the plaza needs an update, but the inside was definitely inviting. It is very quaint, with three privacy tables which are perfect for that special date. Being my first time having Indian food, I didnt quite no what to expect. However, the experience was fabulous. I am not a white rice person, but there's definitely was better than any rice I have ever had. We got a chicken dish and a Shrimp dish. The shrimp dish was my favorite, but I am partial to shrimp. The chicken dish was great as well. The staff was prompt and eager to serve you. Definitely a wonderful experience and worth stepping in to for one wonderful meal. Great job guys! :-)

This restaurant is on my list of 'to go' places whenever I have family members visiting. Can't go wrong with the usual and traditional from the naan to the samosas and of course the chicken tikka/masala it's all good. My gauge is my family's palate and none have complained so far.

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Well off the highway in a strip mall, a small place that could be a little hard to find but it is a good find once you do. Open for lunch Tues. - Thurs. 12 to 3. Dinner 5 to 10:30. Sat. & Sun. 3 to 10:30. Started off with Papadam $2.00, with cucumber raita and mango chutney $2.00 each, all good. An order (2) of vegetable samosa $2.50, also good. Main courses were Chicken saagwala (Boneless chicken in a classic blend of sauces with creamy spinach) medium spicy $16.00. Good flavor and portion. Also Lamb Vindaloo medium spicy (Lamb cooked in traditional sweet, sour & spicy curry) $19.00. Good flavor but for the price, the portion of meat should be larger. White rice came with both. Also Garlic Naan (Naan mixed with a seasoning of garlic) $4.00. Very very good. Over all this was a good find. The service was excellent but I think a bit pricey. We will be back.

We were tired from travelling all day on an airplane and landed just in time for dinner. We didn't know we were hungry until we had a taste of good Indian food which is more like what you might find in England where you will find what is closer to authentic Indian. This restaurant is a small establishment tucked away in a strip mall and does not stand out like the food does. In fact it is a modest little place that is not too fancy. Don't let this fool you. You will get a treat that is just as good as if it came from the Taj Mahal. They do give you plenty of water and it is doesn't come with ice cubes but if you ask for ice they will give it to you. Most of their customers are probably Indian and ice water is more of an American commodity. Our server was a very nice gentleman who kept us well looked after and had a good sense of humor. I was only visiting Miami so I only wish we had an Indian restaurant just like this in L.A. Their food is well worth the wait. It was not super fast coming to us but we had a very nice relaxing meal. There is no alcohol but that's okay. Order the tea it will soothe you and goes well with the food. With food this delicious who needs alcohol anyway.

I just came back from Montreal were I went to a very good Indian Restaurante called 'Le Taj'. They have excellent reviews, So I decided to go and order the same food I order when I go tomMiami Tandoor and to my surprise the food tasted as good as this fancy Montreal restaurant. I'm very happy that we get to enjoy excellent Indian food here in Miami at Miami Tandoor.

I had visited the place with a few of my friends after I bought a coupon from LivingSocial. The place was empty when we went (Sunday evening). We were thinking that we were lucky to get an empty place. But after the whole experience realized that the place deserved to be empty. Indian/Pakistani food is how they advertise. Based on that we tried biriyani's (Chicken and Beef). Beef biriyani was sour and yucky. Chicken biriyani was coloured rice with bland chicken. The guy who took the order had asked us if we wanted mild/med or hot. We had requested for medium, but what came out was below mild. I think they forgot to add spices completely! Mango lassi (which we were told was fresh) was actually a flavor based drink. It was a concoction that was really difficult to drink. Chicken/Beef samosas were the frozen ones which were reheated. The service was so bad that I was planning to not give any tip. But the owner was smarter, he added the tip (20%) in the bill. Adding a tip for a party of 4, even without a mention in the menu is a crime. Overall - AVOID.

I loved the samosas! They were plumpy and juicy. Good service: The waiter came around alot, the owner is very nice he came around after we ate to make sure everything was okay (he talks alot). The food was a bit expensive but I ate well. I'll be back.

We went only because we got a coupon. It was a mistake. Food was bad and the bathrooms were very poorly maintained. The worst part was the service. I think it was the owner who attended to us. He didn't respond to questions properly and even replied "something like that" when we asked the ingredients of a dish. He didn't even offer to give a bill and very curtly offered a calculator when we were studying the bill. I would never go here again and will never recommend this to anyone. The only, and I repeat only, plus point of this restaurant was the sweet little kid who attended us when we entered the place. He was very courteous and showed us to our table very politely. Of course, the appearance of the owner completely ruined everything.

Well if I'm tough on Asian foods and this is no different. I've been to a few different places and I can't say any of them has that wow effect on me but this is decent. I don't have many choices in Pines area I'll stop by here for samosas.

We have been eating here for a few years. Whenever we are in the area. We have been to just about every indian restaurant in Coral Gables, S beach etc. even in NYC and we still have not found a restaurant that offers a beter Malai Kofta than Miami Tandoor. Sure the decor is not fancy and the waiter is very attentive but I think thats better than being under-attentive. I recommend this place to everyone. Order the Malai Kofta and Garlic Naan.

Let me start with the postive. The food was very good. However, we will not be back. There were only 3 tables when our party of 4 arrived. After being seated we were given room temp tap water. The waiter who may have been the owner made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We had never been there before so my husband asked if a certain dish was tomato based and he got very agitated. Said the menu clearly shows what is in each dish. "the menu said blend of spices" so I guess we should have known what that meant. From then on it went downhill. We were almost scared to ask for anything. We ordered 4 appetizers and then stacked our plates for him to pick up before our diner arrived. Apparently big mistake. Believe it or not he was angered by this and said "you expect new plates?' He actually brought out our dinner and left the plates there. We had to ask for clean plates once again and believe me this was an inconvenience. He couldn't believe we just didn't dish out the plates hoping we got our own back... I could go on but by this time it was so unbelieveable it was almost comical, we were speechless. He brought the bill which added up to about $76.00 and on top he said this is the total which stated $94.50. We asked about this total and once again he quickly said this was tax and tip. Well no where on the menu did it say gratuity was automatically added, nor was tax and tip broken out. What a sham! If you have to beg for a clean plate and room temp ice water 18% surely was not the tip we were thinking. Unfortunately the food is tempting ot return but the place was dirty as well so we are off to find a regular Indian resteraunt where our business is appreciated or at minumum we are not an inconvenience. We surely will not be back.

Cant recall exactly what i had but it was very good. I loved the service and the hot tea that was offered after dinner. The little canopy & curtain over the tables certainly gave this place an interesting feel to it. Will go back soon
